Sexual Abuse Victimization Counseling
Compassionate, paced healing from sexual trauma.
If you have survived sexual abuse or assault, the impact can reach into places that seem to have nothing to do with what happened. It can show up as anxiety, trouble sleeping, difficulty trusting, feeling numb or on edge, or a sense that your body no longer feels like your own. Whatever you are carrying, it is not your fault, and you do not have to carry it alone.
Reaching out for help takes real courage, especially when the hurt is this personal. Please know that you are in charge here. You decide what to share, when to share it, and how far to go in any session. Nothing is expected of you except that you show up as you are.
How We Help
We offer trauma-informed, survivor-centered counseling that puts your safety and comfort first. You set the pace. We will never push you to revisit painful details before you are ready, and healing here is never about reliving the worst moments to prove something. It is about helping you feel steadier, more grounded, and more at home in your own life.
Our Approach
Our licensed counselors draw on evidence-based methods matched to what you need. For many survivors, that includes EMDR, which can help the mind and body process trauma without endless retelling. We also use approaches like Internal Family Systems, CBT, DBT skills, and mindfulness to ease anxiety, quiet self-blame, rebuild trust, and restore a sense of safety. We work alongside you, following your lead every step of the way.
Who We Work With
We support children, teens, and adults, adapting our care to each person's age and needs. Whether the abuse happened recently or long ago, and whether you remember every detail or very little, you are welcome here.
When you are ready, we invite you to reach out for a free 15-minute consultation to see if we are a good fit. We offer in-person sessions in Cheyenne and telehealth across all of Wyoming, and we accept most major insurance plans, including Medicaid, Medicare, and Tricare. We can also work with clients using Wyoming crime victim compensation benefits. There is no pressure and no obligation. When you feel ready to take a first small step, we will be here to walk alongside you.
Our counselors draw on a range of approaches — including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), DBT, EMDR, and mindfulness-based techniques — tailored to you, not a template. We bill all major insurance plans including BCBS, Optum (UHC/UMR), Cigna, Aetna, Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, and Victim Services. Self-pay is $100/session, and reduced-rate options are available.
