Child Abuse & Neglect Counseling
Trauma-informed support for survivors and families.
If you or someone you love has been affected by abuse or neglect, please know that reaching out took courage. The impact of these experiences can show up in many ways over time, and none of it means something is wrong with you. Whatever you are carrying, you do not have to make sense of it alone.
At Hope's Beacon, our work is paced by you. You decide what to talk about and when, and there is no pressure to share more than feels right in any given moment. Healing does not follow a schedule, and we are here to walk alongside you for as long as you need.
How We Help
Our licensed counselors offer trauma-informed, evidence-based support in a calm and steady space. Depending on what fits you, we may draw on approaches such as EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT skills, and mindfulness-based and person-centered care. Together we can work toward a greater sense of safety, self-understanding, and steadiness in daily life.
We are counselors, not medical or forensic providers, so our focus is on emotional support and coping rather than medication or evaluations. If those services are ever needed, we can help you think through next steps.
Who We Work With
We support children, teens, and adults affected by past or present abuse or neglect, with care tailored to each person's age and needs. We also welcome protective and non-offending family members who want to understand how best to support a loved one while tending to their own well-being.
If a child is in immediate danger, please contact local authorities or the Wyoming Department of Family Services. When there is time and safety to focus on healing, we would be honored to help.
Let's Take the First Step
New patients can start with a free 15-minute consultation to see whether we feel like the right fit. Our counselors draw on a range of approaches — including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), DBT, EMDR, and mindfulness-based techniques — tailored to you, not a template.
