If you live with ADHD, you already know it's about far more than "not paying attention." Maybe you start ten things and finish none of them. Maybe deadlines sneak up no matter how hard you try, your keys are never where you left them, and the mental effort of staying organized leaves you exhausted by noon. You may also carry years of frustration, or a quiet belief that you're just not trying hard enough.

You are trying. ADHD is a difference in how your brain manages attention, motivation, and follow-through, not a character flaw or a failure of willpower. With the right support, the daily grind can get lighter, and you can build a life that works with your brain instead of against it.

How We Help

At Hope's Beacon, we offer counseling support for the real, everyday impact of ADHD. That means practical work on executive function skills like planning, prioritizing, time management, and follow-through, along with strategies for emotional regulation, managing overwhelm, and quieting the frustration that so often builds up over time. We also make room for the self-esteem piece, because years of feeling "behind" leave a mark, and healing that story matters.

Our Approach

Our licensed team draws on evidence-based methods, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based work, and person-centered therapy, tailored to how you actually think and live. We meet you where you are and build tools you can use.

Please note that our counselors do not test for or diagnose ADHD, and we do not prescribe or manage medication. When it would help, we're glad to coordinate with your prescriber or an evaluator so your therapy and your medical care work together.

Who We Work With

We work with adults and teens navigating ADHD, whether you were recently diagnosed, have known for years, or are still sorting out what fits. Wherever you're starting from, you're welcome here.

If any of this sounds familiar, we'd love to talk. New patients can start with a free 15-minute consultation to see if we're a good fit. We offer in-person sessions in Cheyenne and telehealth across Wyoming, and we accept most major insurance plans, with self-pay and reduced-rate options available. Reach out when you're ready.

Our counselors draw on a range of approaches — including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), DBT, EMDR, and mindfulness-based techniques — tailored to you, not a template. We bill all major insurance plans including BCBS, Optum (UHC/UMR), Cigna, Aetna, Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, and Victim Services. Self-pay is $100/session, and reduced-rate options are available.
